Course Description

 Purpose:

This self-paced training course describes and demonstrate the CommScope RUCKUS IoT Solutions. It covers an overview of the IoT Controller engineering solutions, the IoT Evaluation Kit, demonstrates IoT insights UI Rules, importing and exporting rules, IoT simple Flow examples, IoT insights platform Overview and video integration, IoT Insights Access Control to Assa Abloy and DormaKaba IoT Endpoints and Iot Insights Zigbee Configuration.   

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for RUCKUS sales personnel, system engineers, VARs, and RUCKUS Partners desiring a high-level understanding of all RUCKUS products.

Course Objectives:  

• Describe a high-level overview of Ruckus IoT Solutions Engineering
• Describe how to install the EVK with vSZ and VRIOT VM and upgraded the vSZ and IoT Controller software
• Describe how to set up and configure components of the Evaluation Kit platform of the IoT insights platform.
• Describe how to configure the dashboard for the rule’s engine and show the structure of the File manager and how to upload, download,  and validate that the links work.
• Describe how to import and export an example rules flow using the IoT controller and how these can be saved, backed up and restored.   
• Demonstrate  an overview and configuration of a simple rules flow in the IoT Controller.
• Demonstrate the IoT Insights code and platform and a demonstration of its capabilities showing Video, IoT, Telkonet and MySQL external components.
• Demonstrate the Integration of IoT Insights with Axis and IPConfigure VMS systems.
• Describe how to use the IoT Insights with the Rules for Assa Abloy and Visionline to provide access control and integration into the Dashboard.
• Demonstrate how to bring Zigbee Sensor and Environmental data into the System for display logging and analysis plus alarm indication and the dashboard review and display.

Prerequisites: 

Before taking this course, students should have working knowledge of:  

• Wireless Networking Fundamentals
• Layer 2, Layer 3 Networking: MAC addressing, bridging/switching, VLANs, 802.1Q
• Introduction to RUCKUS Wireless Products
• Knowledge of installing and configuring vSZ.
